Activities

Bible studies are held every Wednesday evening (excluding the school holidays) at 7pm in the Parsonage.

Our choir assists with worship on days of celebration, and we welcome anyone to join your voice with ours in praise.

St. Thomas hosted the 59th Convention of the Free Evangelical-Lutheran Synod in South Africa – FELSISA, from 25 to 28 September 2014. How special it was to celebrate our 21st anniversary together with 80 pastors and friends from across South Africa! The main papers were presented by Dr. Mike Rodewald, from the Lutheran Bible Translators - LBT (USA)on “Barriers to the Gospel” and by his brother Mr. John Rodewald, from the Mission of Christ Network (USA) on “How can business support the church in promoting the Kingdom of God”.
A tremendous "thank you" to all who were involved in this event!

As part of the congregation’s outreach into the community, we began Luther’s Loot which involves donations of food and household items by members of the congregation for distribution to needy members of the surrounding communities. Donations are welcome especially on the 1st Sunday of every month, when the basket will be placed at the pulpit ready to receive donated items. We are presently helping Pastor Inock and the Congolese Lutheran congregation in Joe Slovo, Milnerton. Anyone wanting to become involved may contact the parsonage.
Paul wrote in Galatians 2:10: "All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do."
